That's a great idea! I think you made the right decision about not making the preacher an incarnation of Malliel. I think that would have been confusing. On Riot45's separate path, I liked it, and it was well written, but I feel like it would be better for Moon to confront the evil instead of a series of battles happening. I feel like in fantasy, battles are often overwritten, and that a personal encounter would fit the story better. I just don't imagine Moon as a fierce fighter. I think of her as a selfless lover; She knows what she needs to do and is willing to do it.

Have you ever seen Oblivion? Well, in the end the protagonist flies in his spaceship up to Sally the computer villain. He appears to be giving her what she wants, but then sacrifices himself to save the world. I'm kind of thinking that Moon could go up to the hungry force behind the Moon, and maybe like how Moana redeems Tika, it could be a moment like that. Or, it could be like from Oblivion where she sacrifices herself, or does something to save the world. Do you see my thought process? Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble so much!

I really like this chapter. It brings a lot of hope into the story. And I like how you brought in themes of compassion, and selflessness. Something I have a hard time with is writing dark stories. When there is no light in something it becomes depressing, but if you have hope, the story becomes worth reading. Because who doesn't want to hear how Moon saves the world and becomes a selfless hero? Or how the evil forces or Malleil's children could redeem themselves or are eliminated by the power of good? These are only ideas. I'm honestly really thinking this story could become a fantasy allegory. I'm so excited for where this could go!

I'm writing a story (possibly a screenplay, I still can't decide) for a class right now. It's a tragedy and the plot is a Fichtean Curve. I keep meaning to publish the stuff I've written. But it wouldn't fit into the neat chapters set up, because all I have are bits and pieces. I have like three beginnings that I can't decide on. This is one of them, and the only piece that has worked well enough to be published. I don't think I'll use it in my story though. But if people like it enough to do something with it, that's great!
