Nothing hooks a protagonist faster than existential dread, a suspiciously official talking cat, and the promise of getting paid.

The whiplash from public proposal to awkwardly wholesome lunch invite is unreal. 😅

This has that deceptively cozy opening that quietly tightens into secrets and mystery.

This is a quietly heavy meditation on loneliness into an elementary schooler's recess. Interesting read.

This is gentle and charming in that old-fashioned woodland way.

This has that quiet, visceral tension where safety under the covers slowly gives way to the realization that the danger didn’t leave with the storm.

This feels like the calm before a very bad idea. A great read.

Thank you very much. :)

This has a great late night horror hook. Great read :)

haha I love the clever title. Great chapter too.

Moody, cinematic atmosphere with great restraint, the quiet dialogue against the violence of the storm does a lot of heavy lifting here.

It sounds like a very polished piece. :)

Very easy to picture this as a scene straight out of a polished fantasy novel.

This absolutely nails creeping dread and period voice, and that final line lands like a cold hand on the spine.

This is vividly tense and immersive, with great sensory detail.
