Mary, and her sister Sarah, talk about Sarah's night while she was working on her first assignment after being given a job as a caretaker, and a particularly different one at that, being a disgruntled girl they call a harpy.

A series of disjointed stories with multiple parts. Each part is told from the perspective of a new character, with Kai as the only constant. Kai died as a therapist, and makes an effort to help as many people as possible. Kai never learnt that you can't save everyone, and even in their after life, they are tethered down to this life, and fail to move on to the next sheerly to help one more person. Even in death, Kai is unretireable.

Our hero of vengeance walks the path to a legend no one believes in, to a place no one can survive, to find a forge, no one can use, to forge a sword no one can wield.
