Chapter 11: The Game Called 6-7

storymaster Humor / Comedy 28 Jan 2026

"6-7!" cried the students as they walked through the halls.

"6-7!" cried the students as they studied in their rooms.

"6-7!" cried the students as they mingled in the cafeteria.

Principal Dugal was getting annoyed.

"Will you shut up!" he yelled to all of his students, probably earning himself a meeting with the school board, "What does that even mean!"

"6-7!" was how the students responded. Grades were plummeting, students getting dumber by the week, and Principal Dugal was mad. His school was ranked the lowest in the district for learning. How was he supposed to sleep at night?

"I am going to get to the bottom of this," he thought to himself, laying in bed at night, "and they will never say those dumb letters again.

The next morning, Principal Dugal woke up, ate breakfast, brushed his teeth, and headed over to the school. On the door in large red bubble letters, was those two hated letters.

"6-7!!!!!!" screamed a hord of kids. Principal Dugal turned around. He was surrounded by hundreds of students, all of them saying 6-7.

Chapter 22: Principal Dugal and the Case of 6-7

"No, no, no!" screamed Principal Dugal, "This isn't supposed to be happening!" With that, he ran from the schoolyard, never looking back. He was glad to be rid of the school. Of course he wasn't retired yet, but with all the madness going on, he was going to step down from his office at the end of the year. That will only be in six or seven weeks, he thought to himself, then stopped. He was not going to fall into this trap.

Right then, his phone rang. After fishing it out of his pocket, he saw that it was from the school. What would they want, he thought to himself. He answered, and the secretary started throwing questions at him and speaking a mile-a-minute.

"Where are you, Dugal?" she said in her boring monotone voice, "We need you here, the school is going crazy!" Over the voice of the secretary, Principal Dugal could here kids in the background.

"6-7! 6-7! 6-7!" Principal Dugal shivered and hung up, not even speaking. He had enough of that, it was time to move on to another profession. Maybe a car mechanic would work. He was good at repairing his own car, and knew lots about them. I'll try that out, he thought. Just then, the school bus came by, delivering the last bunch of kids to school. They leaned their heads out the window and immediatly started shouting at Principal Dugal.

"6-7! School will end in 6 or 7 hours! I can't wait for 6-7!"

Principal Dugal started in disgust. These were the kids he was teaching. He didn't even know what 6-7 meant, and he didn't want to know, either. All he did was stare at the ground, lost in a deep thought about when the soonest time to retire would be.

Chapter 33: Principal Dugal's Retirement

storymaster Humor / Comedy 2 Feb 2026

Four weeks later, Principal Dugal stood on a podium, addressing students and parents at the end of the school year.

"I have thought long and hard, about how to move forward in life, and I feel, it is best for me to retire," he started. All the parents gasped, but the children were too distracted whispering '6-7' to each other.

"There are many reasons why," Principal Dugal stated, "but the biggest, is the rise of the 6-7 trend." The parents gasped again, acting like they had never heard of such a thing, "and so it is with not very much regret, that I retire at my age of sixty-seven years old." Principal Dugal only realized what he had said, before he could take it back. All of the children's heads perked up, and in unison, they shouted.

"6-7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The noise was deafening, and Principal Dugal had to cover his ears. I can't wait to get out of this dump, he thought.

After the speech, there were refreshments, but Principal Dugal didn't stick around. He had other things to do. The first being, set up a Netflix account.

"Retirement was going to be very relaxing," he thought to himself.

Just as he sat down on his sofa with a big bowl of ice cream, he heard a commotion at his door.

"Come in!" he shouted, thinking that it was a relative, but when no one came in, he went out there. He opened the door and looked outside, and written in huge spray-painted letters, on the side of his house were the words, "6-7, Principal 6-7, have a good retirement!"

Ex-Principal Dugal lost it on the spot.
