Chapter 11: Prompt: Vanilla Extract
Another prompt! What comes to your mind when you think of "vanilla extract?" Happy writing!
(These are mostly just because I feel like writing but don't know what to write about lol)
Chapter 22: To My Mom
Cookie dough on our hands,
Flour on the counter,
The smell of vanilla extract in the air.
You were wearing a pink apron,
As you usually did during that time of year,
While the rest of us had solid snow on all our clothes.
Sugar,
Peanut butter,
Chocolate chip.
Those were the ones we'd make to dip,
In ice-cold milk.
We live in Texas after all,
We're lucky just to get to put on a long sleeve,
Without breaking a sweat.
But you manage to do it anyway,
Cause you're always so cold.
Now,
Back to the subject at hand.
No matter how you were doing,
Physically, that is,
You always managed to bake,
At least a batch,
Sometimes two,
Of cookies.
No matter what,
You always made all of us feel loved,
I hope that we make you feel the same way,
Everyday.
