Chapter 11: A melting flake
I stared down at the endless cliff that looked back menacingly. I didn’t know what to expect and had only skied a few times. The cold breeze pressed against my face and the cold frost bite chewed on my goggles. I knew that it was a hassle trying to go down but little did I know that it would get steeper. Slowly I turned my icy skis to the side trying to go down slowly. It a burning sensation knowing that if I fell it would be an immensely difficult job trying to get back up with the Freezing snow surrounding my body .
I watched the hill thinking when the cold wind would stop slapping my face. I wanted this to be over and done with. I watched the grey clouds in the sky block the sun as I watched people in the distance rushing down the steep white pile of snow. I didn’t know what to think whether it was fun or not.
Slowly flakes of snow started to fall. I watched in shock as I could feel the cold gust on my face. Slowly my vision blurred more and more waiting for myself to reach the bottom. ‘Was I there or not?’ I didn’t know what to expect or feel. I couldn’t see the rest of my group. The cold frost stuck onto my warm jacket.
A cold breeze blocked my line of sight, I couldn’t see through the thick wall of snow accumulating in my goggles. I looked down at the steep slope after being heavily Slowed down by the fact that the snow felt heavy under my skis.
I heard a cold rustling in the around me. “Do you think we’d get in trouble with the head teacher being out this late?” one said daintily. I lay still in the soft, tall grass. “Nah probably not,” the other replied quickly “Maybe we’ll find something?”
I sat up and watched as the two of them looked at me in shock.
“What are you doing out here?” they asked casually.
