There was once three neighbors, their names were Fear, Wisdom and Deception. Every day, each would wake up, and have a conversation with someone walking by, trying to get them to come inside, but each would say something different. Fear would come first, and call out, “come in here, and be safe, you have no idea what is coming ahead, you could trip and die, or break a leg.” Next came out wisdom who would say, “Come in, and eat something, and sit down for a second, that you may be prepared for the journey ahead.” Finally came out Deception, who would declare, “Enter into my house, and have riches for the rest of your life, and rule over the land, never having to return to work, and never falling ill.” Almost every body would stop, at one house or another, but only the ones who came to the house of Wisdom left truly happy.

One day, a young man Felix was walking that same street. Fear called out first.

"Come into my home, sir! You might fall, break your leg and die!" They shouted at Felix, but he did not enter. In fact, he stepped away from them. He walked further, and Deception called out smugly,

"Come inside! I will teach you how to rule the world and become rich!" They cooed at Felix, and again, he did not enter, but stepped away from them, and ran faster. wisdom had seen Felix's reaction to the other neighbors. He looked lost and afraid, so they spoke nothing but honesty,

"Sir, I know you are afraid and in a cowardly position. But come inside, and I will feed you and answer any questions you have." They said softly, standing at their door instead of on the sidewalk. Felix looked at Wisdom, who showed no lies and threats.

"Okay" He said quietly, and followed Wisdom inside. Wisdom stuck to their word, answering any questions Felix had and gave him food. through a fork full of eggs, Felix spoke.

"You spoke truth, unlike your neighbors. Why? People say they never leave here happy."

"You said exactly why, Felix. I do not lie. I do not make up future scenarios. People do not like the truth, only if it is good. The world crumbles before us, and yet people lie and lure people into falseness. Here, you seek what you need, and get the true answer. Other people, will lie to make themselves seem great and powerful. Not everyone tells the truth, Felix. Not even the people who operate our world. Farewell, and take my knowledge with you." Felix smiled as he left Wisdom's home.

When Felix looked behind him, the only home behind him was Wisdom's, Fear's and Deception's homes of power and lies, in shambles.

This was never just a fictional story, and it never will be either.
