Chapter 11: The Mansion

WisteriaParfait Romance 29 Dec 2025

The moon was high and bright, illuminating the pitch-black sky. Y/n shivered as the harsh, cool wind blew past her. The only warmth she had was the too-thin jacket she was able to grab before her parents kicked her out.

The last thing she saw was the wide grin of her favored evil sister, who stood halfway up the stairs, looking down at Y/n, whom she had bullied for years. Ever since they were young, she had been consumed by jealousy, as Y/n was always more beautiful than her.

In the midst of Y/n’s mom screaming at her as usual, telling her to “GET OUT!”, she saw her older sister flick her badly dyed “platinum blond” hair that looked yellow before she started walking up the stairs in satisfaction.

A cold wind blew, snapping Y/n out of her cruel reminiscence. Y/n lifted her thin wrist to wipe a tear that was forming in her eyes ,her skinny legging legs already tired despite not even walking for 40 minutes yet.

“Where am I even going to stay tonight?” she thought to herself, seeing that it was already late in the night, the only source of light being the bright full moon. The wind blew harshly, making it hard for Y/n to walk, as she was only 67 lbs,

As Y/n continued to try and walk to find anywhere to stay, a particularly harsh wind blew, lifting Y/n off her feet. She yelped, being scooped up into the air. Her small backpack, with her only few belongings, flew into the air with her. She tried to reach for her belongings as the strong winds blew her, but it was a struggle for such a small, petite body like hers to even resist the wind.

“Ugh!” Y/n grunted as she stretched her arm through the air as far as she could, wincing as the strong wind blew, making it hard to see as her belongings and herself flew through the air. She managed to reach out and snag her locket she had had since she was adopted, which held a picture of her mom. Y/n hugged it close as she braced herself, closing her eyes tightly as the wind took her where it pleased.

After what felt like forever, the wind blew her toward the Forbidden Forest, which had gained its name because no one who had ventured into its woodland had ever come out. It was rumored that there was an abandoned mansion in the deepest depths of its leaves and branches, and that during the full moon there was a spirit there that would hunt for the souls of those who dared to trespass its territory.

The wind had been blowing Y/n through this forest for quite sometime, through the leaves and branches. Y/n was sure by now she probably had at least 13 leaves in her long hair.

Y/n’s eyes widened as she blinked a few times just to be sure she was seeing this right, but she saw a big mansion up ahead.

“I-I thought they were just rumors,” she murmured to herself, breathless high in the air as she was headed straight for the highest part of the mansion—the only room that looked at least semi-lit.

A strong gust of wind then blew, making her crash through the window with a high-pitched yelp. The window broke as she went through it. Y/n squeezed her eyes shut, sure she was headed for the ground and about to die.

But she was surprised—it didn’t hurt, and she wasn’t dead yet. She opened one of her eyes as she felt something soft and plush on her lips. She opened her eyes fully and realized she had accidentally collided with someone, kissing them.

She then felt strong hands push her off. She yelped—she didn’t know if they were strong or if she was just too light, but somehow she was flung away and ended up landing on a plush, cushioned bed. She looked down and sighed in relief.

Then she heard a menacing growl, so commanding and deep-voiced that Y/n’s head snapped up. Standing before her was a man draped in a dark black silk robe, dark textured wet hair like he had just gotten out of a shower, pale skin, and a face that looked like it was sculpted by the gods. His arms were tattooed, and his sculpted abs were on display through the deep V-line of his robe.

She looked up at him as she trembled.

“Wh-who are you?” she meekly whispered, looking up at him with her violet eyes that resembled her mother’s.

“I’m Jungkook,” he said, his voice as deep as the ocean, his hand grazing his lip, reminding Y/n that she had just accidentally kissed him. “And why are you in my mansion?”

Her eyes widened.
