Chapter 11: We’re walking: words that end the world

Queen-neef13 Humor / Comedy 5 Jul 2026

Today I experienced what can only be described as a full-scale survival mission orchestrated by the universe itself.

I woke up completely entombed in what I can only assume was a professionally engineered fortress of blankets. It was not “being cozy.” No. This was containment. I spent a full minute fighting my way out like an archaeologist excavating myself from ancient textile ruins. I am pretty sure the blankets had formed alliances.

Once I finally escaped, my mom’s voice summoned me like a royal decree echoing through the land. I yelled back that I would arrive shortly, immediately switching into emergency-speed mode, dressing at a pace that could only be described as “high-stakes panic with socks.”

Naturally, in my haste, my shirt had been assembled backwards, because my body apparently decided symmetry is optional during crises. My mom pointed it out with the calm of someone witnessing a minor architectural failure.

Then came the announcement.

The car was gone. Not stolen—worse. In the shop. The bus had betrayed us and simply decided not to exist today. Time itself seemed to pause for dramatic effect.

And then the final verdict:

I would have to walk to school.

Through the snow.

This was no ordinary walk. This was a journey across an icy wilderness, a frost-bitten expedition worthy of ancient explorers who definitely regretted their decisions halfway through. I could already hear the wind narrating my downfall like a documentary: “Here we observe a young traveler entering conditions she was not emotionally prepared for.”

I stood there for a moment, processing the fact that my morning had escalated from “wake up late” to “arctic survival arc.”

And yet… I endured.

Because apparently I am now the main character in a winter saga nobody asked for.

Chapter 22: A snowy trek

Queen-neef13 Adventure 6 Jul 2026

Today I was personally equipped for what can only be described as a sanctioned expedition into the frozen unknown.

I was handed my backpack like a survival pack, followed immediately by two mysterious paper bags—one labeled “breakfast” and the other “lunch,” as if I would not be returning from a long and perilous journey. At that point, I began to suspect I was no longer simply going to school, but being deployed.

There was no delay allowed. No hesitation. Only urgency. I was strongly encouraged to leave immediately to avoid being “late,” though it felt more like I was being sent ahead of an advancing storm.

And then the trek began.

The world outside had transformed overnight into a white battlefield. Snow covered everything like the earth had been erased and rewritten in silence. Each step forward was a negotiation with gravity itself.

Then came the hill.

It wasn’t just a hill anymore. It was a towering frozen obstacle, rising like a challenge specifically designed to question my life choices. The deeper I went, the more it felt like the snow had opinions about me personally.

Halfway through the journey, something miraculous happened—another survivor appeared.

My friend joined me like a fellow traveler in a winter survival saga.

“Why does this feel illegal?” I asked, stepping through snow that reached far too high for something labeled a “walkway.”

He laughed. “My dog refused to come outside today. I think he knew better.”

“That’s honestly wise,” I said. “I respect his decision-making skills.”

From there, the rest of the journey became a shared survival broadcast. We talked about his dog the entire way, as if discussing an innocent animal could distract us from the fact that we were actively crossing a frozen endurance course.

“My dog just stares at me like I’ve betrayed the entire species when I leave,” he said.

“I get that,” I replied. “I also feel like I’ve betrayed something every time I take another step in this snow.”

The hill took everything we had left, but somehow, against all odds and reasonable expectations, we arrived at school.

Barely.

On time.

Victorious in the most exhausted way possible.
