Another prompt! Hope you enjoy; I just like fulfilling prompts lol. Will be putting my take as a chapter two.

There I lay in my bed,

Blissfully dead,

At least to the world.

But little did I know,

That I was sleeping through a tornado.

Not one of actuality or physicality.

But one of emotional duress.

The type that I had been through many times,

But I knew nothing of this pain,

For it wasn't mine.

But,

There at 3 a.m.,

My friend lay in her own bed,

Wishing she were dead.

I was filled with dread,

When she finally told,

Of all that she'd been bearing,

All on her own.

I told her I'm here,

If she needs someone to listen to her tears.

After all,

That was all I wanted,

When I was in the throes of my depression.
