Chapter 11: Fireworks
I watch as fireworks go off, I don’t know what I am doing, sitting here in Disney world, watching fireworks like I’m a normal kid. I’m not.
Normal, kids don’t have to decide if they want to be president or judge
Normal kids stay up till 2 a.m. reading court cases
Normal kids don’t have everything month planned until they turn
NOPE I am definitely not normal, so why am I sitting here, watching fireworks at Disney, when I should be studying, and WHY am I enjoying it?
Maybe it’s because I’m surrounded by strangers, people who don’t know my potential.
Maybe it’s because I’m calculating how much money they must seen on fireworks every year.
or maybe it’s because, for the first time in my life, I have a dad and he is standing next to me.
Whatever it is, it has to stop, because at this rate, I won’t have time to finish my current case tonight, and that will put me behind, who knows how long it would take to catch back up if every night of this trip were the same.
And there it goes, now I’m no longer a “normal” kid watching fireworks, but am freaking out about the fact that my plan to become judge will be set off, or if I choose to be president I’ll have to wait till I’m 39.
