Blood, blood, blood. That was all Michelle's friends cared about. Blood for breakfast. Blood sandwiches for lunch. Even Bloodorade for sporting events. Michelle had been different from the time she was born. As a vampire, she was supposed to feast on blood. Enjoy it. Lust for it. But that wasn't what Michelle wanted. All she wanted was water. Her friends didn't know about her distaste for blood, because she always brought red Kool-Aid to school. No one had even suspected a thing. Until the day everything changed.
"Michelle Transylvania, please report to the principal's office. Now!" a voice sounded over the loudspeaker while Michelle was in homeroom.
'Great! What now?' she thought. Michelle was a bit of a rebel, but never did anything too bad. The worst thing she ever did was egg her principal's house, and that was a long time ago, and with friends. She hadn't done anything recently. Slowly, she Rose from her seat, and trudged out from the classroom, bookbag dragging along the ground. It was a long trek through the halls of Count Drac High to get to the principal's office. She took a seat outside, and waited until she was called in. It didn't take too long.
"Do you know what you've done?" The principal asked in a harsh tone.
"No," Michelle responded, because she didn't.
"The lunch ladies take attendance of who takes blood juice," The principal started, "And they have noticed, that over the past four months, you haven't taken a single one." Michelle gulped. In one breath, she decided to let it out.
"You see, I don't even really like blood."
