Queen-neef13 Adventure 9 Jun 2026

There was once three neighbors, their names were Fear, Wisdom and Deception. Every day, each would wake up, and have a conversation with someone walking by, trying to get them to come inside, but each would say something different. Fear would come first, and call out, “come in here, and be safe, you have no idea what is coming ahead, you could trip and die, or break a leg.” Next came out wisdom who would say, “Come in, and eat something, and sit down for a second, that you may be prepared for the journey ahead.” Finally came out Deception, who would declare, “Enter into my house, and have riches for the rest of your life, and rule over the land, never having to return to work, and never falling ill.” Almost every body would stop, at one house or another, but only the ones who came to the house of Wisdom left truly happy.

Chapter 22: Two little boys

NeerlyThere Literary / Fiction 19 hours ago

There once were two little boys, they were twins, and yet very different. For the longest time they had each had a reputation, one named Edie for being obedient and enjoyable, and one named Freddie for being disobedient and a brat. However there was one day that changed all that.

It was the day their mother made a fresh batch of cookies, she filled the cookie jar, and then told them, “You may each have one cookie, but no more.” Now each of the boys had a different response, while Edie immediately thanked his mom and politely took a cookie, Freddie snatched his out of the jar and complained to his mom about only getting one.

Later that day, when no one was looking, Freddie snuck back into the cookies and began to eat them, at first he felt good, for the taste of the cookies was delightful, and he even was able to sneak away and not get caught. However after an hour or so his stomach began to hurt, he began his way towards his mom to complain, but quickly remembered that if he did she’d know what he did, so he kept to himself.

Eventually his dad came home, and it was dinner time, he was barely able to eat that, but little did he know that there was dessert that night. Not only dessert, but his favorite dessert, Grandma’s homemade cherry pie. He wanted so badly to eat it, but he couldn’t, his stomach hurt to badly.

Meanwhile Edie ate it, and enjoyed it, all because he obeyed.

One lesson stuck with Freddie after that, and it was this: No matter how good disobedience seems it will never be worth it in the end.
