Chapter 11: The blizzard

yourlocalhomie Adventure 23 Oct 2025

How long had it taken him? How long had it taken for Kaito to trudge through the snowy path of Kazeyama. The cold and wet breeze slapped Kaito's face as he persevered through the rough forest of Tsukinomori. The rough moon glanced down at the wet trees creating a shining light in the dark blizzard. Surely Kaito was home now right? He peered through the brown logs in front of him as if they were some sort of window. Why had it taken so long? The rough winds pierced through the warm layer of cloak around his body. How bad had the storm gotten? Things flooded Kaito's mind as the blizzard revolved around him. How would he get back like this?

Chapter 22: Through the patches of Blue

yourlocalhomie Adventure 24 Oct 2025

Kaito was worried. He stood there in fear as the cold white layer engulfed him. He knew he was close to home, yet he feared he would not make it. Still, he endured the endless cold around him. He looked forward with his face as dim as ever. The thought crossed his mind. Kaito still did not have faith. Even through the white blizzard he still managed to catch a glimpse of a shape that was made out to be a cave. He did not care anymore. He could not withstand the freezing weather. He ran forward like a river breaking through a dam. He sat there, and he felt safe like he was going to make it. Even though he tried to keep faith inside him, he knew his strength was withered, and he soon was staring into pure black. He reached out and he glimpsed the patches of blue.

Chapter 33: Through the patches of Orange

yourlocalhomie Adventure 25 Oct 2025

Kaito sat in the cold lonely dust. He did not remember what happened to him, he only remembered the blizzard. He wondered in his cold lonely spot what the blue he saw the day before was. It was slowly coming back to him, Kaito sat there as he felt time pass in front of him. All he did was eat and sleep. He felt the cold, the warm, and the dusty bitterness inside of him like a dying flame in the coldest of winter. He felt lost and forgotten. He felt he had forgotten himself in the cold bitterness of the storm. He wished he was in his home... Where ever or whatever home was. He wanted to know more. He sat there watching the rough autumn leaves pass onto the ground; deflated but still beautiful. He forced himself forward and picked one up. Warm and assuring. He missed the feeling of being at peace with himself. He now felt lost, forgotten and empty.

Chapter 44: Through the patches of Yellow

yourlocalhomie Adventure 26 Oct 2025

Kaito watched in deafening silence as the time of autumn died around him. Everything revolved around him, he sat there in peace, in his own silence. In the darkness of the cave. He tapped at the rough empty rocks that he sat on. He felt as if he were the stone himself; unmemorable and not special. He wanted to get back to wherever he was at least a few years ago. He stood up. The back of his thigh ached with a sharp pain. The warm light of the sun illuminated the rough and dark black of the cave. He wanted to leave, He wanted to escape the cage holding him in place. Kaito stared into the blinding radiance. He ran forward into the rough fields of yellow as the daylight shone over it. He missed the feeling of freedom. The feeling of being broken and separated from the shackles that held him down. He watched the lush grass sway in the cool breeze. He still wanted to remember, but at least he was free.

Chapter 55: Breakthrough

yourlocalhomie Adventure 26 Oct 2025

Kaito left. He ran down the narrow path as a gentle wind passed over him. He still wasn't fully assured; his mind was still in shock from the years he spent in the dark prison of the cave. Kaito looked up at the soft falling leaves that floated around him. He stepped up onto a tree as he tapped the dry oak of the trunk. It felt nice to be free. To be liberated. To be unbound. To be released. He felt as if he could fly. He faced the bright fields from the dim shadows of the trees. He wanted to sit there and enjoy the scene. He wanted to lie down in the soft fields of grass. He turned around. Kaito still wanted to remember; he still wanted to find out what and where home was. The patches of grass still comforted him though. He stood there in deafening silence as he watched and heard the long grass rustle.

Chapter 66: Through patches of violet I

yourlocalhomie Adventure 26 Oct 2025

Inside his head, Kaito looked at the patches of grass in-front of him. He stared down into the field. Again; the moon passed over him. A quiet moonlight shone over the field and Kaito. He had opened his eyes to the glaring bright moon. There it sat. It came back to him. Kaito was starting to remember, but vaguely. The cold wind drew the gravel and grass across the open plains filled with turf. He sat down not knowing the feeling he had just experienced. He remembered animosity against the cold. He still wanted to know more. When he thought he had something it was pulled away from him. He wanted to be released from the haunting fact that he had no home to return to... Yet

Chapter 77: Through patches of violet II

yourlocalhomie Adventure 27 Oct 2025

The word echoed through Kaito's head: Home. When was the last time he had felt at peace. When was the last time he had felt like he belonged. What, where and is home for him? He sat there in the quiet of the night. The turf still shone in violet as a rough breeze pierced through the dark forest Kaito sat in. He stared up into the lonely moon that sat above him and the other creatures around him. He knew he was alone though. He still had the will to survive. He watched as the peaceful night turned into the light of day. Kaito stood up as the bright daylight enlightened the gloomy forest.

Chapter 88: A hope that was lost

yourlocalhomie Adventure 27 Dec 2025

Kaito lay in the lush fields of grass as he watched the sun sink bellow the orange, puffy clouds. Kaito didn't want to just stay where he was now. He wanted to search, search for an answer for where he belonged to. Kaito stood up; brushing leaves that covered his dirt covered top off. His thin stomach growled as he desperately looked around for any form of food that he could find. Kaito sprinted through the rough bristles of the bushes around him, looking for anything edible. His arms felt rough and battered. He looked around him and everything appeared blurry. Tears flowed out of his eyes. He wished he felt at peace; in the warm walls of a home and not starving.

Chapter 99: Homura 炎 - Someone who shared the same story

yourlocalhomie Adventure 27 Dec 2025

Kaito lay face down, his stomach empty. He silently wept to himself staring at the dark walls of the cave. Slowly Kaito's vision faded to black. A faint sound clouded Kaito's ears. "Hello?" He heard "Hello?" He woke up to find 2 orange eyes hovering above him. He sat up feeling as wary as ever. "Who" he paused suddenly at the growl of his stomach. "Who are you?" Kaito stared at the young girl in front of him about his age. Her hair was ruffled and messy with a light blond colour, her skin was covered in dirt and had a light tan. "I was about to say the same thing" she muttered "but my name is Homura," Kaito still felt stunned; curious to how he was still alive. "I am Kaito" he spoke.

Chapter 1010: A will to live

yourlocalhomie Dystopian 26 Jan 2026

Kaito looked around the lonely cave as he watched the frail girl ravage through the small boxes of what Kaito believed to be food. She through him a stale piece of bread. Kaito looked at the rough orange piece of dry bread ridden with dust. He brushed the surface of the loaf before stuffing it into his mouth. The two of them sat there in silence not bothering to even talk to each other. Kaito hadn't even bothered to think how famished he was on inside until his stomach growled in hunger. He tilted his head to his side and watched as the rain poured outside. "How did you end up here?" he asked.
