I grab Armin's hand.

He looks over at me. "Yeah?"

"Can I kiss you right now?" I ask him.

"I guess," he says.

And so I pull him in and kiss him.

He is flushed bright red.

"Eren what the hell?! That was longer than you've ever kissed me!" Armin says, in a surprised tone.

He turns around and pulls something out of his pocket.

"Eren," Armin says, turning to face me. "Here, I got this for you, I wanted to wait 'till today to show you. Because it's your birthday. So, think of this as a birthday gift, 'kay"

I inspect the box 'till I remember that it's my birthday.

I blink. Oh, uh. . .Thank you."

"Guys, shut up, I got the drinks."

I look up to see Mikasa.

"Hey, girl?" I say.

Sasha peeks out from behind them.

She has meat and a baked potato. "Hey, what are you up to?"

Armin buries his face in my shoulder and I nod. "Armin was just giving me a birthday gift."

"Oh," Sasha says. "Is it your birthday?"

"Yes, it is, my birthday has finally arrived! Now, Zeke can't complain!" I scream, like a bird of course.

Then Zeke walks up with Levi and says. "How's this for not complaining, why do you always take the. . .The. . .Ugh!"

"Why are you like this, Zeke?" Levi asks.

I pull my face out of Eren's shoulder. "Hi, guys."

"Hey Armin," Mikasa says.

Mikasa has pigtails, a long-sleeved shirt, a skirt with spikes on the waist band, a choker that matches their skirt, braces but the dots are bats, boots, and a hairclip that has a rainbow, sun, water, clouds, and flowers.

Sasha has a ponytail, a shorter-sleeved shirt, a sleeveless sweater vest, a skirt with slits on the sides, boots, and a hairclip that looks weird, it has potatoes, meat, and seasonings.

"Armin," Sasha says. "Are you gay?"

I look way over at her. "What?! Why do you think I'm gay?!"

"Cause you act it," Sasha says.

"I do not," I'm too defensive.

Sasha turns to Mikasa more. "Right?"

Mikasa nods. "He told me that he's gay. And Armin, you can let basically anyone in our friend group know."

"So stop hiding it," Sasha says. "Stop sulking in the corner and man up!"

Eren holds his hand up. "Guys stop being mean to each other, okay? You guys are friends for god sake, so start acting like it, alright?"

"Are you standing up for him?" Sasha asks him. ". . .Loverboy."

"No, what I'm trying to do is get you guys to act like friends," Eren says pulling his hair back. "Do I need permission to do that?"

I shake my head. "No."

"Maybe, if you give me food then no, but if you don't give me food then yes," Sasha says.

Just then I hear a voice say. "Sure thing, Potato girl."

I look over to see. . .Jean and Marco,

"Hey, guys," I say, smiling at the sight of a kind person, also a pair of new people.

Marco closes his eyes and smiles. "Hey, Armin."

"Hello," Jean says. "Marco."

"Polo," Marco says, looking over at Jean.

"Have you seen Ymir and Historia?" Jean says asks.

Zeke yells at the top of his lungs. "I am only in love with Levi!"

Levi takes out his pistol-broom. "Stop in the name of the law!"

Ymir and Historia show up along-side Yelena and Pieck.

"If you don't stop yelling Zeke, you're going to DIE!!" Ymir says.

Ymir grabs Historia's head to cover her ears.

Historia looks over and sees Marco and Jean, then she grins and waves at them. "When'd you guys come back?"

"Yesterday night, I would have called you guys on group chat, but it was late so," Marco says, putting a hand to his head. "Sorry."
