Chapter 11: Fun lil poem
Silence is a thing to fear
And everyone does fear it, however instinctually
No one may ever know what lurks in the deepest cavities of quiet.
Empty silence is peaceful.
Wonderous.
But the terrifying kind of silence
Is the kind where the sound should be there and isn't.
A vacuum of noise that unsettles your soul
Because there are things hiding in that silence
Waiting for you to slip from the laughter and music of life
Waiting for you to fall
Directly into their gaping jaws
And never return
Silence is a thing to fear
Don't let it catch you
Chapter 22: Silence's breakfast
It lingers behind the creakiest doubt
Like a silhouette rampaging through it devices
Waiting for its weapon
Which can destroy, build and renovate you
Yet between that silhouette
Lies it shadow
With a defiant grin
In its castaway tinge
That penetrates the organ called a skin,
Yet in your ears
Is the habitat of the haunted memories
Rustling through your blanket
Hoping to scar you
It did!
With dilated pupils that laid emotionless
Guess there more to silence
Than its labyrinth of doubt
That you try to abhor.
But,
Alas,
You absconded with fear
