It was a peaceful afternoon at the pier, when three pelicans flew down to the pier. One was named Buddy, the second one was named Jimmy, and the last one was Liz. They were all good friends, plus Jimmy and Liz liked each other. They were flying to pelican church all together. When they got to pelican church, they started singing hymns, but halfway through the service, Jimmy disappeared.

They waited until the service ended and then started searching, but they didn't need to look. They found him swimming with two really fancy pelicans.

"Jimmy!" Liz burst into tears, "Why did you pick Anna and Maria?" Liz asked, still sniffling.

"Because you two are misfits," said Jimmy with a smirk. Anna and Maria laughed with him. Then they flew off together. Buddy walked up to Liz.

"Maybe we'll find some new friends?" said Buddy.

"We won't," said Liz. But everything brings something new, right?

The next day, as Liz and Buddy were going on their walk they met two pelicans named Joe and Annie.

Annie said, " We're getting married in two months. Are you?"
