Chapter 11: Bible Passage

storymaster Contemporary 23 hours ago

Romans 8:28, "For we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him."

This passage means a lot to me and in my life. I have the comfort of knowing that God is working for my good in all he does. I'm reminded, that in all things, bad or good, sad or happy, God is there with me, and blessing me. I have had times in my life where I questioned God on his decisions, but then everything worked out great. Even when a loved one dies, I know that God was doing it to keep them from suffering, or something else. This is a wonderful piece of Gospel, that I have loved for a very long time. I know that in whatever I do, God still loves me, and has a place for me in Heaven, as long as I believe.

Chapter 22: 2 Corinthians 5:17

Maejune23 Literary / Fiction 19 hours ago

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" I always kinda knew what it was talking about but it wasn't until this last summer that it became part of me and got applied to my life; and when I gave my life to Jesus. When you give yourself to Him and fully submit it's like an overwhelming wave of "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control..."(Galatians 5:22-23). It's just such an amazing indescribable feeling that once you give Him your all you'll always just have that feeling. Even through the hard times. So I encourage those who haven't submitted yet or are wanting to submit, keep asking questions, and if you are wanting to try it out find a church neer you who is willing to help. Remember: there are people here willing to answer your questions and that Jesus is always by your side and loves you!

Chapter 33: Genesis 1:1

Genesis 1:1, "In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth, the sea, and all that is in them."

Although this doesn't seem like a great passage for spreading the Word, it can be used as one. It tells us that nature wasn't formed by evolution or pure chance. Someone was in charge of making it. This passage also shows the power that God has. His power is imeasurably more than what we have, yet he doesn't use it to hurt or harm us. In his great mercy, he created us, and when Adam and Eve sinned, he promised His own Son, Jesus, to save us from our sins. By looking into the nature around us, we can see the beauty in God's creation, and all that he has done for us.

Chapter 44: Ephesians 2:10

"For we are God's hadiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do" This is probably one of my favorite verses mainly because there is a song that goes with it that I learned at camp. It kinda just reminds me that we are God's handiwork which means "requires hands-on skill and practice It often shows the personal touch of the maker It can take time and effort to complete The result is usually unique or one-of-a-kind" therefore God created each and every person with care and procise detail and a purpose. For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well." Psalm 139:13-14

"Created my inmost being" = God formed your inner self, your soul, and your spirit

"Knit me together" = God carefully and skillfully made you, like weaving or knitting

"Fearfully and wonderfully made" = You are made with care, intention, and purpose

Chapter 55: John 11:35

ur-unstable-fangirl42 Contemporary 4 hours ago

"Jesus wept."

John 11:35 is the shortest verse in the entire Bible, New Testament, and Old Testament. It probably seems like a strange verse to spread the Gospel with, or a verse that has any teachable depth. I mean, it's literally 2 words, and pretty straightforward. However, this verse is important, no matter what it looks like. This moment takes place just after Jesus had heard that His good friend, Lazarus, had died. The reason this verse is so important is that Jesus actually cried. Very real, very human tears. Jesus wept not out of doubt, but out of profound empathy. His tears reflect His full humanity and His deep love for those who suffer. As the Son of God, He shared in human sorrow, demonstrating that God is not distant from our pain but intimately involved in it. The verse reveals that Jesus' compassion is both personal and powerful; He wept not only for Lazarus but for the effects of sin and death in the world. Jesus has deep compassion for those mourning, and He wept because of grief over the consequences of sin and death, which He would ultimately conquer. This verse also identifies with human suffering, showing that Jesus truly understands our pain. This is just more proof that Jesus Christ was fully human and fully God. He fully and completely understands because He was once human too.
