I take myself too seriously, then not seriously at all. You can see it in my writing: I wax multisyllabic, pondering cosmic questions, yet diminish the tone with liberal loads of alliteration and massive oodles of assonance. A well-structured essay will often lose its way, lingering overlong at one point, only to take a sightseeing side trip, before rejoining the rest of the tour group. Free association self-expression can speak to someone other than the author, but not in a way that lens itself to the communication of linear thought. My writing is, apparently, exploring the conflict between wordplay and dialogue. ...more

Thanks..
And I like what you've done with the character of the Jester.
Vague Gesture cum Causal Mover? (I know, that's trying too hard to be cute --> total crash and burn😁)

The Jester morphed --- from an ominous, vaguely threatening, potentially dangerous, figure of Otherness --- into a sympathetic, understandable hero who, overcoming both fear and the daunting agents of evil, is shown to be not Other, but Friend.
Very smart and effective, Riotous One! If I were the pretentiously professorial sort, I'd even say "Kudos!"
Well done.

I see what you're doing here!
It's Trump Cabinet. (It was Little Bobbie that tipped me off)
Just kidding. Although, if I'm right, wowsie, right?!

You pose the very question the answer to which will define our future. If AIs. monopolize the marketplace of ideas and people are reduced to mere consumers of ideas, then authenticity will become a rare commodity, and therefore dear. Most of us will have to live in a Wallyworld of poorly constructed overpriced concepts.

It's great to get feedback. Thanks.
This project of mine is rather simple-minded, actually... It's a random sampling of my comments to YouTube videos (mostly news/politics related podcasts).
If there's a theme that emerges, or any pattern of any sort, that won't be me consciously making it happen.
But your feedback is useful to me as a writer, letting me know what you find most effective.
Glad you liked take one.

Many thanks. When writing the poem, I was thinking about the relationship between the number and variety of choices and one's freedoms. No wisdom to impart, just thoughts. With too few options, the feelings are frustration and the fear of missing out. With too many, the feelings are anxiety and the fear of commitment.
Not really sure how that correlates with freedom.
