Hiya, this is an idea that follows on from a thread I made on the discussion forum, as I thought it might be fun to have some writing prompts!

The prompt is a one-word one, as I find those to be the most versatile and interesting.

The word I picked for this thread is 'vessel'.

I'm going to post my interpretation of the prompt below this as a 'chapter 2', so that my submission doesn't sway anyone's ideas on what to write, and hope you guys will get involved with your own takes on the prompt by adding new chapters/story paths below! Credit to SepiandDust for the general idea of how this is all set out :)

Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after.
But, Jack and Jill didn't went up the hill again to fetch a pail of water. Because, as they fell down, the pail flew deep into the forest!
Both of them didn't know where it landed in the forest, so...

The two traverse in the forest, but then they are blocked by three bears. The huge and scary-looking bear is the father. Another massive and frightening bear is the mother. And the little yet grumpy cub is their child. They can't get past them due to their large bodies. They wouldn't like to risk forcing their way in and possibly get hurt.
