Chapter 11: Short thoughts

WrongfulArrangement Poetry 5 Aug 2026

Fireflies escape

Into the summer

air,

grass no longer mowed

to the root.

Find sanctuary

In my garden,

When blades

strip the ground

from underneath.

Chapter 22: Where Life Is

Riot45 Poetry 6 Aug 2026

As the tides go up,

and water drained

from the mouths of ailing children

tears well up in the eyes of mothers:

drip into the digital vein.

My garden stands untouched.

The crops are enough here to feed a nation

and in a sense, they do just that

nourish the ones who fight and fall

until we abolish all notion of station.

For solid ground is where we stand.

The world cannot stay whole.

Though blood is blood and tears are tears

we remain divided by imagined lines

as if we don't share earth's one soul.

Chapter 33: Life Anew

privacypunk456 Poetry 13 hours ago

Blood autumn leaves

fall sharp. Threatening wind's throat

with a gentle carousel

above the earthly bed.

An eerie prairie whistle sings

out of place, yet nonetheless it serves

a lullaby.

The cradled trunk of naked tree

wailing, screeching. Rings yet frail

still have so much left to breathe.

Unpolished filthy swings, and back and forth

devour all that lies below

the nature's treasure soon long gone

with it's tears in soil.
