The Rae mansion was quiet and peaceful. The doors swung open and Lucas walked in, followed by Evan with a smile on his face.
“We’re here!” Lucas shouted.
“Gosh, we’re not deaf, Lucas,” Noah said, stepping out of the living room.
Lucas was dressed in a beige hoodie and jeans, his hair swept back. The only thing that hinted at his status was his perfectly styled hair. And of course, Noah didn’t let it slide.
“When are you going to start dressing like an adult?” Noah asked, giving him a pointed look.
Lucas smirked. “It is like asking Silvia to get married?”
Silvia, coming down the stairs with a steaming cup of coffee, nearly choked.
“That means you should start preparing already,” Adam wheeled in smoothly.
“WHAT?!” Evan yelped.
“Stop the nonsense, Adam.” Silvia smacked his head as she passed.
“Oh yeah? And we’re just supposed to forget how the ice queen was blushing over a phone call last night?” Noah teased, grinning wide.
The room went silent. Everyone turned to stare at Silvia like she’d grown two heads.
“She what?!” Evan gasped.
“Blushed. She blushed over some fruit-based acquaintance,” Noah said with mock seriousness.
“He’s lying,” Silvia snapped, though her ears were already turning red.
“Really? Then show us your call history,” Adam chimed in, smirking.
“I—” Lucas started, but Silvia’s phone rang, cutting him off.
The screen glowed with that name: Strawberry. Silvia’s heart jumped. She never calls during her university hours…
“Sil—” A sob broke the silence as soon as Silvia picked it up.
“Yuna, where are you?” Silvia panicked, rushing toward the door.
“I… there’s something over me,” Yuna choked out between sobs.
“Listen to me—calm down. I’m coming, okay? Just hold on.” Silvia’s voice was steady, but inside she was screaming. Whoever was behind this wouldn’t see the next second.
